Qualification of spreadsheets.

The regulations expect that you generate a comprehensive testing documentation for computer systems. Spreadsheets are no different.

The conclusion

Spreadsheet testing and qualification must be performed. It should test the spreadsheet's formulae, the spreadsheet's operation (including all macros) and the business processes supporting the spreadsheet (such as maintenance of the files and generated records). Qualification MUST be repeatable, quick and easy - you may have many protocols to generate and spreadsheets to test.
