Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool

Current evaluators of the 'Beta' Release Program.

ABB Engineering Services are pleased to announce the 'beta' release of the Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool for Microsoft® Excel. This tool is aimed at users of Excel dealing with a Part 11 project who need to reduce the time it takes to complete the functional specification for the Spreadsheet.

The Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool is an Add-In to Microsoft® Excel. It is a program that you run on your existing Excel Spreadsheet to produce a report in one of the two following formats:

  • Microsoft® Excel Workbook
  • Microsoft® Word Document

The Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool has the following advantages over a traditional manual approach:

  • Information on the content, formulas and configuration of Spreadsheets can be generated automatically within a few seconds.
  • Spreadsheet Specifications can be produced simply and automatically, cutting down the chance of user error from data transcription and cut and paste errors.
  • Formatting and formula errors and inconsistencies can be easily identified when reviewing the generated reports
