ABB Engineering Services are pleased to announce the 'beta' release of the Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool for Microsoft® Excel. This tool is aimed at users of Excel dealing with a Part 11 project who need to reduce the time it takes to complete the functional specification for the Spreadsheet.
The Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool is an Add-In to Microsoft® Excel. It is a program that you run on your existing Excel Spreadsheet to produce a report in one of the two following formats:
- Microsoft® Excel Workbook
- Microsoft® Word Document
The Spreadsheet Specification and Reporting Tool has the following advantages over a traditional manual approach:
- Information on the content, formulas and configuration of Spreadsheets can be generated automatically within a few seconds.
- Spreadsheet Specifications can be produced simply and automatically, cutting down the chance of user error from data transcription and cut and paste errors.
- Formatting and formula errors and inconsistencies can be easily identified when reviewing the generated reports
